Advanced searching

With Phytotherapies' search form, you can search for one or more words and phrases in our database. Search options allow you to limit the search to improve your search results.

Enter search string

Examples
psoriasis AND "haemolytic streptococci"
psor* AND treatment
ute* AND tonic
ute* NOT uterus
treatment AND psoriasis OR amenorrhoea
Hegel AND "Michael Thomsen" AND (amenorrhoea OR psoriasis)
"haemolytic streptococci" OR psoriasis NOT "amenorrhoea"

To search the database for a string:
  • Enter a search word or phrase. You can use ordinary Boolean operators like AND, OR, and NOT in your search expression.

    Wildcard searches
Use * (asterix) to match any contiguous group of characters. For example, searchine with ute* will find both uterus and uterine.

    Using Boolean search syntax
You can create search expressions using Boolean syntax to find information in the database. Some of the examples above illustrate common Boolean syntax for searching.
